MoleSafe was founded on passion and it is our sole mission to combat this widely underappreciated disease with early detection. Through the use of innovative technology and the specialized skill set of our dermatologists, we are dedicated to fostering skin cancer awareness, especially with regards to melanoma.
As a team, we work together to provide at-risk individuals with preventative diagnostic care to keep skin safe and healthy through our Skin Surveillance Program.
The MoleSafe Skin Surveillance Program was created over the last 15 years to overcome many of the shortcomings of conventional skin cancer practices. These shortcomings have contributed to an increase in skin cancer development. Until now, protocols for following high-risk skin cancer patients included:
- Frequent follow-up
- Instant film photos of lesions that did not meet biopsy thresholds
- Measurement and verbal descriptions of lesions
- Removing any and all suspicious lesions (“When in doubt, cut it out”)
Though these protocols are widely accepted by the medical community, they’re not optimal. In fact, they often result in unnecessary biopsies and excisions. Furthermore, they can lead to a lack of record keeping for the remaining healthy skin, where evidence suggests that approximately 50 percent of melanomas would appear again.
At MoleSafe, our approach is proactive and comprehensive, utilizing the latest in dermatoscopic detection, diagnosis and serial monitoring technology. Our MoleSafe Skin Surveillance Program has the reliable accuracy to reveal skin cancer and melanoma at the earliest possible stage for fast, effective treatment. In fact, it is now the world’s most advanced detection and surveillance system for the early detection of skin cancers, including the deadly melanoma.
